Gut bacteria have been found to help you form important amino acids, which are the building blocks of larger proteins, and help process and digest carbohydrates.

In doing so, they help to transform food into energy and nutrients for growth. In this way, they may influence your ability to both put on and also lose weight.

Where to get some good gut bacteria?

Try adding sauerkraut to your meals (not my favourite, but if made well can be really tasty).
