Most of us know minerals are essential in our diet, but we can overlook magnesium at times.

Found in every tissue in the body, magnesium helps with energy, muscle strength, flexibility, sleep and stress management.

It is also an essential electrolyte needed for hydration and maintains heart health.

One of my favorite sources of magnesium is green leafy vegetables (baby spinach leaves are DELICIOUS), but it can also be found in almonds, pumpkin seeds, yogurt and kefir.
